Ramming, spraypaint and fire were used last week to take out speed cameras in Canada, France and Italy.

Dumped Italian speed cameraVigilantes in Saskatchewan, Canada took out a speed camera on March 17. According to the Saskatoon Star Phoenix, officials believe the automated ticketing machine on Circle Drive South in Saskatoon was rammed by a car that ripped apart the machine and damaged its mounting base.

In Ouilly-le-Vicomte, France, vigilantes set fire to the speed camera on the RD579 last week Sunday, Tendance Ouest reported. In Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, red spraypaint was used to cover the lens of a speed camera, according to Riviera 24. In Chesne, bright yellow fluorescent paint was added to the speed camera on the RD977 last week Saturday, L'Union reported. According to Le Pays d'Auge, black was the spraypaint color of choice in Canapville on Wednesday. Vigilantes in Santa Maria di Sala, Italy dumped one of the city's newly installed "Velo OK" brand speed cameras in a drainage ditch on Wednesday, Nuova Venezia reported. The exact same camera on the Via Rugoletto had been ripped out of the ground on the day after it was installed. In San Dona di Pave, stickers were placed over the new cameras, according to Venezia Today.
