France, Germany: Speed Camera Destroyed In Crash
German photo radar van destroyed in a crash. French vigilantes spraypainted a pair of speed cameras.

In Haldensleben, Germany, a photo radar van issuing automated tickets on Satueller Strasse failed to prevent an accident last week. A thirty-year-old Mercedes driver slammed on the brakes after noticing the automated ticketing vehicle, causing the Mercedes to spin off the road, directly into the back of the van. The violent impact caused severe injuries, according to Magdeburg police.

White paint was used to blind the speed camera on the RD611 in Toul, France, last week. Likewise, the same shade was used on the automated ticketing machine on the RD643 in Beauvois-en-Cambresis.
