France, Mexico, Spain: Speed Cameras Smashed, Scorched
Vigilantes in Mexico, Spain and France last week used took out a half-dozen speed cameras.

Burned turret speed cameraIn Puebla, Mexico, vigilantes last week disabled six speed cameras just three months after they had been installed. The devices had their solar panels dismantled and batteries removed, rendering them unable to issue tickets. In Ferrol, Spain, two men attempted to pry open and disable the speed camera on the FE-15. The vigilantes fled when police arrived.

Vigilantes in Aubignas, France, cut down and burned the pole-mounted "turret" speed camera that had been issuing tickets on the RN102 on Wednesday. The device had just been restored to service after an attack last month. In Etalans, vigilantes blinded the speed camera on the RN57 with black spraypaint last week.
