A handful of speed cameras were disabled across France, Italy and Saudi Arabia last week.
The speed camera on Al-Fatiha Road on the way to Aseer Province in Saudi Arabia has been attacked for the second time in two weeks. This time, the device was knocked over and left on the side of the road in the dirt. A speed camera in Taif was also destroyed by fire last week.
On Saturday, vigilantes in Habas, France, burned the speed camera on the RD817. In Baigts-de-Bearn, vigilantes on Wednesday toppled and torched the pole-mounted "turret" speed camera which is also located on the RD817. Yellow spraypaint was used to blind the speed camera on the RD18 in Saint-Andre-de-Messei on July 6.
In Toirano, Italy, vigilantes on Friday set fire to the power supply of the speed camera on the RD60. On Thursday, a 60-year-old artist used blue spraypaint to take out the red light camera on the Viale Bernardini in Camaiore.
