A survey of five fixed speed cameras in Sunderland, UK shows a 40 percent increase in accidents causing minor injuries. The Northumbria Safety Camera Partnership, which operates the devices, attributes this increase to drivers slamming on their brakes to avoid a fine.Mark McArthur Christie, from the Association of British Drivers, said: "Many motorists are confused as to what speed limit a road actually is, so why not put a speed sign on the back of the cameras?"Source: FLASH!
