Speed Cameras Increase Minor Injury Accidents in UK
New figures show a 40 percent increase in minor injury accidents where speed cameras are used in Sunderland, UK.
A survey of five fixed speed cameras in Sunderland, UK shows a 40 percent increase in accidents causing minor injuries. The Northumbria Safety Camera Partnership, which operates the devices, attributes this increase to drivers slamming on their brakes to avoid a fine.
More speed cameras are on the way to the area.
