Kuwait: Speed Camera Sends Man to Hospital
A speed camera in Kuwait sends a man to the hospital in serious condition.

Gulf Road speed cameraA speed camera in Kuwait not only failed to prevent an accident last week, it increased the severity of the injuries for a man currently hospitalized. Police claim the man who collided with a roadside speed camera in Jahra had been exceeding the speed limit. The camera pole inflicted serious injuries, according to Al-Watan daily, and the cost to replace the ticketing device is 75,000 dinars (US $260,000).

This is not the first speed camera that has become the scene of an accident in Kuwait. On January 5, a Gulf Road ticket machine (pictured) damaged a black SUV at 7:30 in the morning.
