Kuwait: Speed Camera Sends Man to Hospital
A speed camera in Kuwait sends a man to the hospital in serious condition.

Gulf Road speed camera
A speed camera in Kuwait not only failed to prevent an accident last week, it increased the severity of the injuries for a man currently hospitalized. Police claim the man who collided with a roadside speed camera in Jahra had been exceeding the speed limit. The camera pole inflicted serious injuries, according to Al-Watan daily, and the cost to replace the ticketing device is 75,000 dinars (US $260,000).

This is not the first speed camera that has become the scene of an accident in Kuwait. On January 5, a Gulf Road ticket machine (pictured) damaged a black SUV at 7:30 in the morning.
