Brentwood, UK Camera Torched a Second Time
A Brentwood, UK speed camera is torched just a short time after it had been replaced.

A speed camera in Brentwood, UK was torched last week. The same camera on the A128 at Kelvedon Hatch had been destroyed by fire in February. Although local officials say the camera is necessary to prevent speeding-related accidents, police reports obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show that officials cited accidents that were unrelated to speeding as a justification for installing them. In the last fiscal year, Essex speed cameras generated £5,116,140 (US $9,724,431) in revenue.
