UK Speed Camera Destroyed for Sixth TimeNorth Somerset, UK speed camera destroyed by fire in the sixth attack in three years.
A speed camera in North Somerset, UK has become England's most frequently destroyed ticketing machine last week. Located in the village of Flax Bourton near Bristol, the device has been burned, knocked over and rammed a total of six times in three years. Motorists Against Detection (MAD) took credit for the most recent burning which took place a week after the Avon and Somerset speed camera officials had replaced it.
"We have 200 members and we're terrorizing these cash machines," MAD's founder, Captain Gatso, told the Daily Mirror newspaper. "We have repeatedly targeted this stretch and this one has been taken out more than any other."
