UK: Speed Camera Escapes Fire Attack
Shropshire, UK speed camera escapes serious damage after being set on fire.

A Shropshire, UK speed camera escaped serious damage last week after a vigilante attempted to set it on fire. At around 4am on Tuesday, activists targeted the camera on Dawley road in Telford, using the time-tested technique of first wrapping a tire around the camera. The activists then draped a blanket over the ticketing machine, soaked it with gasoline and ignited the blaze.

The plan failed, however, when the fire burned upward without generating enough heat to damage the camera housing.
