A dozen meter maids in Chicago, Illinois, were caught on Friday not paying their own parking tickets and red light camera citations. A city inspector general investigation discovered the fraud among Department of Revenue employees included a trio of top booting supervisors. Inspector General David Hoffman ordered the booting of the supervisors' vehicles in accordance with city law.
After receiving an anonymous tip, Hoffman had checked the license plates of Department of Revenue employees against the list of unpaid tickets. He found the employees each had unpaid debt between four months and three and a half years. The employees now face a suspension of no more than thirty days.
